Our 7 year old daughter gets up from the couch after dinner last night and declares “I LOST ANOTHER TOOTH!”
It was actually kind of freaky, considering, we knew it was loose, but it literally fell out of her mouth when her tongue went against it! So she got a baggy to put it in, laid it under her pillow, and my husband confiscated it after he tucked her in. Brought it down, reached into his wallet and realized – no cash. “What am I going to give her?” he said to me.
“Why not quarters? She can count money now honey, she’ll know its the same amount.”
“Oh, ok!” So he took the baggy and went over to our ‘vacation jar’ and filled it with 8 quarters. Or so he thought.
She comes shuffling down the stairs with baggy in hand this morning while I’m on the phone with my mother, and she goes “It’s one-hundred-and-seventy-five!”
I looked puzzled. I took her baggy while talking to mom, and counted. 8 coins. As I counted, though, she says “the token doesn’t count, mom, it has ‘no cash value’.”
HAHA, hubby gave her a Chucke Cheese token! Slackin, I tell ya!!!
Too funny. That’s what happens when the tooth fairy has to think at night.>>😉
You mean a Chuck E Cheese token isn’t valid as cash? Darn it. I thought I was rich.
Hah, totally a night thing. And who’d’a thunk’it, that the token isn’t worth money, considering how much it costs when we go there lol>>In actuality, the ‘tooth fairy’ forgot altogether, had the baggie filled but never did put it under her pillow, I did it first thing in the morning cuz he forgot LOL so not only is the tooth fairy slackin’ but forgetful LOL!!!!!!!
Hahahahaaa!!! That’s funny!!
That happened to us also. Children should not be allowed to lose teeth after 5pm or it goes on the next business day. LOL! WE never have cash on hand, so I had to search all over this house for $2 in change one night. Zoe lost a tooth at 8:30pm!! Right before bed, no less.
That is priceless!!!! You've got a smarty on your hands 😉
