How to Use Goo Gone Goo and Adhesive Remover
After testing Goo Gone on an inconspicuous area, we applied a few drops of Goo Gone and let it sit for about a minute or so. Once the adhesive was dissolved and loose, we could remove the stickers on each of our supplies. My pre-teen’s planner was “ruined” because there was a sticker on it. After a quick and painless application with Goo Gone, her planner was even better than new!
My son’s notebook had a massive sticker on the front along with another smaller circular sticker. He asked if I could do the same for his notebook as I did for her planner. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
So then he asked I do the same for his binder, too. No problem, buddy! Goo Gone to the rescueeee!

Here’s a huge tip for you frugal parents out there! Save money by reusing old school supplies by using Goo Gone! Here’s how we did it – my Baby Dude needed a yellow folder for one of his classes, but we couldn’t find any in the stores anywhere. Ever have that happen to you? Where all the kids in the same grade need the same school supplies and suddenly all the stores are sold out? Yup, that’s what happened to us this year! This particular folder had one of those pesky printer labels made of paper. Those adhesives on those are super sticky and really tough to get off of things they’re stuck to, but it was still no match for Goo Gone! We applied Goo Gone and scratched the paper part off a bit (as you see above) and reapplied on the sticky adhesive left underneath and waited a few minutes.
When you wait a few minutes, you will immediately see how Goo Gone gets to work in dissolving and easily softening the adhesive so you can scrape or wipe it right off!
The name tag in the corner was a bit more stubborn to remove, but it was still was no match for Goo Gone‘s adhesive removal power!
