Well, its official – the holiday season is upon us. Thanksgiving is now over, and Black Friday is here. Did you partake in the specials? I know I did. I try to every year. This year, though, I was quite surprised as the items didn’t quite seem ‘up my alley’ and apparently not up many other’s alleys either, as the stores were no where near as packed as I had expected them to be. I was able to successfully navigate through 3 stores – Toys R Us, Kmart and Target – with little to no interference, except maybe semi-clogged aisles and people pondering over the price of a toy, or what have you, you know, in the middle of the aisle you’re trying to walk down. Especially in our Toys R Us, its cramped, and they direct traffic in only one direction for the holidays, so it makes it hard if you’ve missed something or need to go around. I digress, it was quite invigorating to navigate through the masses and really get a chunk of holiday shopping out of the way, or in some cases, started 😉
I’ve surveyed the “damage” and I’ve gotten a fair amount done. Tomorrow, I will foray out again into the unknown (aka Walmart, AC Moore and other stores with sales) and really get my holiday groove on 😉
Off to enjoy some Turkey Day leftovers!
