I got so caught up yesterday in trying to fix the load time of my blog I forgot to post my Sanctuary Saturday post. So, here’s to Sanctuary Sunday 🙂
We’re gearing up for the holidays here. Yesterday we did a teeny tiny bit of Christmas shopping. Couldn’t do more with the kids with us, especially since we weren’t really supposed to be Christmas shopping, but birthday present shopping for 2 children’s birthdays they were invited to. Nonetheless, we’re getting into the spirit, dividing and conquering by having one person keep another occupied while we grab something to put in the cart. I love how stealthy we become when shopping with our children around. Its hilarious to point out things while covertly handing the toy to your sneaky husband, or having him distract while you get the secret present into the cart. I love the game, the secret, I feel like Secret Agent Holiday, at your service 🙂
My sanctuary, as it continues to be, is having my children and husband around me. Doing family things. It could be shopping, or going to the park, or playing a board game. It isn’t lost on me that at any moment something terrible could happen to anyone of us at any time, it just keeps me in ‘check’. I live for the moment with my family, and cherish each splendid time with them. I encourage you to live for today, as though tomorrow isn’t coming.
Enjoy your weekend, and day off tomorrow for Veteran’s Day. And if you know of a soldier or person who has served our fine country, thank them for their service 🙂
It was much quicker today! Yeah, good to see you back and posting.>>My hubby and I used to do the grab and chuck into the basket before the kids would notice. Now, alas, they are older and wise to our ways. 🙂>>Enjoy your day!
Getting ready for the holidays? I miss reading your blog!
Thank you Kelly Jene. Been through a lot this week, and was offline. Trying to catch up, will post soon. Thanks for looking for me and missing me, I missed you too! 🙂
