I received four full bags of clothes last night from Freecycle for my almost two-year-old daughter, plus a new winter coat for my four-year-old son. The ones that fit her are in the dryer as we speak.
In return for her generosity, I gave her an Amish Friendship Bread starter and emailed her the directions.
And in true Lisa-fashion, I bawled all the way home after receiving such generosity. Here I am, again, bawling, just writing about it.
Call it pregnancy hormones. Call it gratitude. Call it typical over-emotional Lisa. But thank you, thank you for allowing me to come across such generosity to help me outfit my children, especially here at our new home, new city, new state, where I haven’t come across the same places as of yet like we had back in NC, consignment shops, consignment sales that helped me do just that. Especially during a time when money is tight. I’m really missing those opportunities to buy used to help us out this holiday season.
I am grateful. Beyond words.
