♫ Walking in a Sunny Wonderland ♫ with the Omron Fitness Tracker

Sometimes, this parenting gig is tough. Some days, a mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do and take a “time out” to breathe a second, or to escape the crazy (especially like me with eleventy-billion kids). I love my children so desperately much, but mom needs a break sometimes. With the weather warming up, and the sunshine practically smiling through the window, enticing me to step over the threshold, mom’s break involves hitting the pavement – I choose to go for a walk.
But even if I don’t need a break, I do need to walk and stay active, and this weather is PERFECTION! There’s just something about the spring, isn’t there? The second those temps rise, the urge to get up and walk and go to the park and play ALL THE THINGS outside is overwhelming. We’re back to walking to get the kids from school again (hopefully resuming walking them TO school soon, but morning’s are still chilly). I’m excited to be wearing a pedometer again to try and get steps in.
Currently, I’m wearing the new Omron Alvita Wireless Activity Tracker (HJ-327T). She’s a teeny little thing that you can clip anywhere (even your shoelaces), and she’s totally affordable, too (just $45). Just sync it with your smartphone so you have up to date info on your steps, distance, calories burned, and more.
With the launch of this new device, Omron is encouraging people with this campaign to “Walk Out on Wednesdays.” Armed with the latest in their Bluetooth® Smart technology, they’re hoping that this little Alvita will help to inspire people to get moving and get out there and stay moving throughout the day.
How do you stay active? Are you a walker, or a fresh air, sun seeker like myself? How do you enjoy the sunshine in the spring?

Meet Lisa!
Hi, I’m Lisa! Welcome to my perfectly imperfect corner of the web where I've chronicled my life as a mom to "eleventy-billion" kids since 2007! Here I share posts with our family-friendly recipes, crafts and creating art, traveling as a big family, reliving my youth endlessly dancing to 90's music, and documenting our adventurous life while sipping coffee and basking in the delicious Colorado sunshine.
