With the kids’ crazy holiday schedules, this mom’s been running around like a crazed maniac lately. School choir performances on this day, field trips on another, giving tree donations due this day, with cookie swap and holiday parties to purchase, bake, and provide for, too. It’s been holiday insanity, I tell you! With our schedule so jam packed, I’ve been worried about derailing my fitness goals by eating out of convenience. Besides, if I’m going to splurge during the holidays, it’s going to be on yummy holiday-type stuff, like cookies at cookie swap or a slice of pie on Christmas, I’d rather it not be because I didn’t plan ahead.
I’ve been doing my best to stay away from the sweets and convenience foods, even though they’re everywhere. Mom’s busy, but I want to be kind to myself, you know? This busy season is one of indulgence with food and sweets, and I want to plan ahead and do better for myself. To ensure I stay on track during the holidays, I’ve been ensuring to snack healthy when I can and I keep Premier Protein shakes stocked here at the house, to bring with me or to grab and go as needed. They’re not only great on their own, but fantastic as coffee creamer, too!
With 30g of protein, only 160 calories, 1g of sugar, and 24 vitamins and minerals, these low carb ready-to-drink protein shakes really pack a punch in the hunger department if I’m worried about missing a meal as they make great meal replacements. They’ve helped me stay the course and not miss a beat with all that’s going on. Available in Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberries & Cream, Caramel, and Bananas & Cream, they’re great on-the-go nutrition while out Christmas shopping and even when stuck in the school pick-up line, too!
Even with my professional commitments this holiday season, while I’m slaving away at the keyboard to meet my deadlines, Premier Protein has been a handy tool in my arsenal to help me stay focused without derailing me from my tasks at hand.
What do you do to stay on the right track during the holidays?
