How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Overnight Oats
Grab your kids for this one, they’re going to love it! Get all your ingredients together, and your kids’ hands washed and ready! Start by smashing the cereal in between your fingers into a bowl.
You’ll want it good and crushed, like the picture below. The finer you crush it, the more oatmeal-esque it’ll be!
From there, mash your banana well using a masher or, if you’d like, a mixer.
While I like letting out some of my aggressions on the banana with the masher tool (heh), you can always opt to get a jar of banana baby food. For me, though? I like those little bits of banana bites in there, they’re tasty in this recipe!
From there you will add your peanut butter. I like to add a lot to this recipe, it tastes pretty delicious!
Ready those remaining ingredients to be added too.
Add in the cocoa and then the crushed Frosted Mini-Wheats® cereal.
Add to that your milk and heaping handfuls of the mini chocolate chips to your liking.
From here you can easily mix everything together, blending well until it’s combined as well as it can be. Look at THAT!
To fill your jelly jars, I like using a long iced tea spoon as the spoon is more narrow than a traditional teaspoon and the handle is long enough to allow you to get into the bottom without hitting the rim. It comes in handy when having to fill smaller jars with things like this.
Once it’s filled mostly to the top, seal and refrigerate overnight! Tada! Breakfast is already ready for tomorrow, baby! Easy and delicious!
I mean, breakfast can really be that easy! Just grab a spoon and go! Fruit, whole grains, protein, you just can’t go wrong with this one!
I purchased these ingredients and more at my local Safeway, but you can also stock up and save at any of the Albertsons Company family of stores, including Albertsons, Pak N Save, Vons, Andronico’s, Pavillions, Lucky, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, and Acme Markets. Visit Safeway.com to find a store near you!
