Does your home have Gremlins? You know, the out-of-sight animals that come out and hide things you’re looking for? Well for us, the Gremlins struck again last night and took my 7 year old’s top to her lunch juice bottle. She couldn’t find it at all. Now, she tends to lose things that are usually right in front of her, so my husband and I looked and we too couldn’t find the wayward top. We looked on the recently cleaned off counters – nope. Looked in the trash, in case she threw it out by accident – nope. Looked in the dishwasher, in case it was put in there by mistake – nope! On the floor, under the table, in the living room, in case the young ones made off with it – nope, nope, nope and nope! After 10 minutes of searching, we gave up and switched her juice drink bottle and forgot about it, figuring it would turn up.
Indeed it did.
My 3 year old went into the kitchen just now to ask me to fix him a drink, and lifted the bowl that was on the kitchen floor – the bowl my 10 month old loves to play ‘drum’ on with the wooden spoon – and there the top was, hiding under the bowl the entire time.
Those darn Gremlins!
Too funny. Yes we have gremlins. Sock stealing, toy snatching, favorite cooking fork taking little gremlins!I hope your day is filled with gremlin free joy!
