My 4 year old adores music and singing. He has his own pronunciation of things, which make it even cuter, coupled with his baby voice and need to sing loudly.
We have quite the eclectic music repertoire in our CD player in the minivan, to include Journey, Tom Petty (Free Falling), not to mention kid stuff, like Laurie Berkner, the Cars soundtrack, and pop, like Daniel Bedingfield.
I felt like getting uplifted this AM, so I turned on track 3 of Daniel Bedingfield’s CD, Gotta Get Through This, and was jamming in the car, shaking my booty about, singing with my 4 year old while my 23 month old did her baby dance too.
But my 4 year old? He looks at me through the rear view and says “Mommy, dis is my song! I wike it wike dis!” and starts boppin’ his head, showing me how it’s done. Too cute! If only I could video tape while I drive!
