What is it that YOU love the most, that you want to tell everyone about? Is it a recipe you just tried for the first time? Is it your new vacuum cleaner that works better than anything you’ve ever tried? How about a facial cleanser, a perfume, or that website that was oh-so-helpful? If you’re happy and you know it – don’t clap your hands, try Mom Faves.
Inspired by the memory of his mother – Norma Unfried, an outgoing teacher who loved nothing more than to share what she loved with her friends and family- Josh Unfried and his wife Rebecca created Mom Faves to facilitate this sharing between moms around the country, with a vision of taking and empowering every mom’s need to spread the ‘good word’ and capture it into one central location.
In essence, Mom Faves is a word of mouth network.
Think StumbleUpon but not just with websites – with products, restaurants, etc., givin’ them “Thumbs Up” for approval. Think of your favorites on your toolbar, except you have a whole community with which to share them with.
Mom Faves gives any mom with an email address the opportunity to share what they love, what is working for them, and impact the quality of life for other mothers reading from around the country.
Created by you, for you.
Mom Faves was incorporated on October 29th, the third anniversary of his mother’s death, and was launched officially February 11th, on what would have been her 57th birthday. In honor of their mother’s love for parties, there will be a SiteWarming party, hosted by the Resourceful Mommy, for MomFaves tonight, Friday the 13th (eek!), from 9-10pm EST. Use hashtag #momfaves to keep up with the shindig. In true Resourceful Mommy fashion, there will be prizes to be won! RSVP here if you’d like to attend!
