She’s teething, and it’s been a lot A LOT of mommy time right now. Some days, I barely scrape by with running my fingers through my hair, let alone with a brush or a comb. If it isn’t something snacky and small, it won’t get consumed by me, either. Her grip on me is tighter than Romney with his family’s financial documents.
She’s a trooper, though, despite this teething pain that has hit her so much worse than any other of my children, the teething tablets, amber necklace, and teething gel soothe her at times much better than I can.
And, if all else fails, distraction is the way to go. Can’t complain about your teething pain if you’re not focusing on it, right?
Enter my doting five-year-old, who loves her baby sister more than anything. She sure knows how to save the day.
It would appear that laughter not only heals Baby V, but mommy, too. Laughter truly is the best medicine in the world.
