As parents, we get eleventy-billion and one pieces of scribble-scrabbled art drawings for us to hang magnificently on the fridge, whether drawn at home, at school, at grandmas, etc. Kids and art go hand-in-hand. My kids probably more than most, with their former-artist momma’s genes in ’em. They love to create, and I love watching them create.
Recently, I was given the opportunity to give my kids the On a Roll Art Center from CPToys, and I can’t begin to tell you how much they love this set.
Not only do they love it, but they TAKE CARE OF IT, which is unheard of. I always find marker tops and busted crayons everywhere. Something about this kit, which has sweet holders for everything included, makes them want to care for it.
Every day the roll of paper gets unrolled little-by-little so that the drawings and artwork can begin. By far, this is one of their most favorite activities to do here at home.
The paper dispenser is AWESOME. Makes it so easy for the kids to unroll a little to draw with. CPToys also offers the paper refill, too. Yay!
I also like how this art center separates each of the crayons and all the different kinds of markers. The different shapes and sizes help them keep track of what goes where. It spins, too, which makes it easier for the kids to find what they need, and replace what they used.
He wakes up, and sometimes it’s the first thing he does. He sits down next to the window in the wee hours of the morning and just starts coloring, even before getting dressed (ahem). I love it so much, it hurts!
