It was Mom Monday yesterday, and I took the day off and enjoyed myself. After a 2.5 mile run with the family on Sunday, where my husband showed me a new place to go in our neighborhood, I ventured out yesterday for a 2.5 hour walk with the babies up those many hills, enjoying the sunshine and breeze.
Over the weekend, I decided to take on my garden. It was beginning to take over the walk way and spread out onto our grass. I got a little too snip-happy and, as a result, I now have a hole in my garden, after ripping up a huge lantana. Whoops.
Not sure what to put there, as it is the taller portion of my garden. Any ideas?
Next up was pruning the crap out of the lovely purple thingies in my garden (Name? I don’t know. But this sucker grows like CRAZY!)
It grew outward and shaded my grass, killing it somewhat in that corner there. Bring on the fertilizer!
And then was the other side of our walkway. I had to cut it back, too. I also noticed white developing on our black mulch – is it mold? Bacteria? Salt from the water? I don’t know, do you?
All while V played happily on the porch in her exersaucer, watching the kids ride bikes, play tag, kick the ball. She is so eager to join them.
And then, our very favoritest time in the world, bath time. Particularly when you’re outside with mommy and the kids while gardening and sweating and you have a huge poo-splosion.
She learned to splash. A lot. Like, everywhere. (See the mirror?) And so, mommy now has a new chore to tackle – cleaning up the (soaked) master bath.
