Mini Party Subs
I freaking love sandwiches, man. Maybe it comes from all the PB&Js and bologna sandwiches I had when I was a kid, but my first Subway sandwich was magical. To this day, it’s the same every time I order – Spicy Italian on Italian Herb Bread with cheese, lettuce, onions, oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. It’s my jam, man. It has been for decades now. I’m alllll about serving sandwiches for a get together. We have a few sandwich tricks up our sleeve, too. Like these Mini Party Subs served hot. So delish!
Mini Party Subs Recipe
Could you serve these sandwiches whole without cutting them up? Absolutely! But usually, with a party spread, you’ve got lots going on to serve. Perhaps buffalo wings, spinach artichoke dip, meatballs, chicken bacon ranch quesadillas. chips and dip, spinach balls. With so many options offered to your guests, smaller sandwiches allow them the ability to grab a little of everything, you know? And it also makes it convenient – they don’t have to slice it, it’s already done for them. Now, if you wanted to make these for dinner or school lunches, then yeah, keep ’em whole (unless their for the littles, that’s way too big of a sandwich).
Mini Party Subs for Entertaining
These Mini Party Subs are jam-packed with five different kinds of meat, hellooo! I feel the meat we use pairs incredibly well together. We chose to use Colby Jack for this, but cheddar would work wonderfully too! We just happen to be huge fans of Colby Jack cheese and feel it melds really well with the rest of the sandwich, you know?
Mini Party Subs for Football
Could you serve this sandwich cold? Sure. But we chose to heat ’em up because the meat flavors then blend together along with the cheese getting all deliciously melty and cheesy. Let’s not forget what it does for the hoagie roll – baking these awesome Mini Party Subs toasts up the bread real nice, giving it a slight crunch you will crave!
Easy Mini Party Subs
Make ’em for your next party. Make it for your next birthday, for a celebration, or an event. Football party, holiday party, these easy Mini Party Subs are perfect for any occasion! What’s fun is these sandwiches can be stacked into a sandwich tower! The presentation on these is awesome. The toothpicks allow the sandwiches to remain together as much as possible (even though the cheese melted and keeps everything close), allowing you to easily serve or for guests to easily grab.
Cheesy Mini Party Subs
Can you even with that gorgeous melty cheese on there? We chose sliced cheese so we could layer easily, but I suppose you could use shredded so long as it melted fully. I like my sandwiches as clean as possible (unless it’s a messy sandwich like a Sloppy Joe or Meatball Sub in which you’re expected to get messy) so sliced cheese for us was a no brainer. It melted beautifully and cuts pretty easy with no mess, but like I said, you can choose shredded or a different variety if you choose!
Baked Mini Party Subs
We didn’t add seasoning to this Mini Party Subs recipe, but you could season the meat or lightly butter the top bread and season it all nice on there! We chose simplicity with this one, let the meat and the cheese be the star of the show on these subs, but you could season it all Subway-esque (as I order my sandwiches from them) if you wanted to! The sky is the limit with these!
Mini Party Subs Recipe
Whether you serve these on some sort of platter or on a large wooden cutting board as we did, these Mini Party Subs are so delicious and present so beautifully! Who wouldn’t want to grab one of these for their plate at a party? They suit people of all ages!
How to Make Mini Party Subs
To make these easy Mini Party Subs for your next party, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- Hoagie rolls
- Colby jack cheese
- Smoked turkey
- Honey ham
- Roast beef
- Hard salami
- Pepperoni
You will also need the following tools:
To get started, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut each hoagie roll in half lengthwise with a good quality bread knife.
Cut each slice of cheese in half. Place a layer of cheese down on the bread first. The cheese, when melted, will act kind of like a glue to keep the bread and meat together.
Continue building your sandwich by placing the smoked turkey on top of the cheese. Fold the turkey in half and lay it on top of the cheese.
Fold in half your slices of ham and lay neatly on top of the turkey.
Add to the sandwich a couple slices of roast beef laid neatly over top.
Top the roast beef layer with slices of hard salami.
On top of your salami, add your slices of pepperoni.
Top all this wonderful meat with another two half slices of cheese. To help “glue” the sandwich together, remember?
Place the top half of the hoagie roll on the sandwich.
Cut each sandwich into three equal pieces using your bread knife. Add toothpicks to the top of each sliced sandwich.
Place the sandwich pieces on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bread is toasted.
Once it’s toasted and the cheese is melted, pull from your oven and let cool.
Once it’s cooled off slightly, it’s ready to serve.
