We spent 52 weeks in 2013 celebrating what made us happy, and it WAS a fantastic year. Let’s make 2014 the year where we really truly focus on surrounding ourselves with only joy and happiness all year round, every month, every week, every day. Tell me, what makes you happy? What is it that you do that you can’t get enough of? What makes your soul shine, your eyes beam, and your insides sparkle?
Happiness is so very many things for me, and every Wednesday I plan on sharing my answer here with you, on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. You can join us and follow along by using the hashtag #happinessis on Twitter and Instagram. |
Labor day weekend was labor-intensive. It began on Saturday by cleaning out the garage, trying to unpack what we could and reorganize so we could list the extra furniture we have on Craigslist and find the missing stuff we can’t seemingly locate (that’s still missing, dammit). We found all our gardening tools, gloves, pots, and got to work starting Sunday. OH YEAH, BABY!
It felt really good to finally dig into this part of the house (pun intended). The ground is so much easier to work with here (sand) than it was in San Antonio (rock). We hit some great sales at Walmart and Lowes (I’m guessing end of season?) and so we have plenty left over to plant elsewhere, to really fill our garden up.
We finally unpacked and put together the lounge chair from Wayfair in our backyard, too, which is now a nice place for me to sit and watch the kids when they’re out back. (More plants are seen here that need planting in the backyard for a garden, too.)
Ribs. I mean, C’MON! Ribs are like bacon. Happiness.
Jumping on the trampoline with THAT sunset? Happiness.
My husband’s amazing omelets, like this one. Oh, so much happiness…
