Easy Marshmallow Snowman Stirrers for Hot Cocoa
Break out the Wilton decorating tips and candy melts, friends. These easy to decorate Marshmallow Snowman Stirrers are as fun to decorate as they are to eat!
How to Make Marshmallow Snowman Stirrers
Ingredients you’ll need to make these adorable Snowman Marshmallow Stirrers:
Large marshmallows
Package of Wilton chocolate candy melts
Package of Wilton orange candy melts
Wilton round decorating tip #2 and Wilton piping tip #3 (These tips are great to have on hand to do your own decorative writing on cakes, cupcakes, and more!)
Disposable piping bags (You may opt for a reusable bag here if you wish, too!)
Bamboo skewers
A really good (and sharp) pair of kitchen scissors (A fantastic set of kitchen shears are always a good thing to have, and these are tried and true here!)
With your good quality scissors, trim your bamboo skewers a few inches. Take your freshly trimmed skewer and add three of your marshmallows onto the base of each skewer. (Optional here, if you worry about small children poking themselves in any way is to trim the pointy end off after you’ve skewered the marshmallows into place. Once they’re on, you can trim the point off.)
Decorating Marshmallow Snowman Stirrers
Using a microwave safe bowl, pour about half your bag of chocolate Wilton candy melts into the bowl and microwave them in 30 second intervals until fully melted. Let the candy cool slightly before filling your disposable piping bag with Wilton round decorating tip #3 attached. Gently squeeze the chocolate to decorate the snowman’s face with eyes and a mouth on the “head” with arms on the “body.” Repeat this step for every snowman skewer.
Using another microwave safe bowl, pour a small handful of the orange Wilton candy melts into the bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals until fully melted. Let it cool before filling your other disposable piping bag with Wilton round decorating tip #2 attached (which has a slightly larger hole at the tip). Gently squeeze the melted orange candy from the bag to form the carrot-shaped nose on the snowman’s face on each skewer you’ve decorated.
Let the skewers set to dry before serving.
Serve your Marshmallow Snowman Skewers on a tray or party platter, beside a mug of hot cocoa, or in a clear plastic baggy decorated for the holiday! Are they not the funnest and cutest way to jazz up your hot cocoa? I can’t even!
