Tips to Make Candy Corn Peanut Butter Cookies
- This recipe calls for “softened butter” but we don’t mean melty. We mean beginning to soften, but almost room temperature. This makes it easier to mix but butter that’s too softened makes a flatter cookie, and you want something with substance.
- When you add the flour, baking soda, and other dry ingredients, sift them to make it easier to blend. Be sure to add your dry ingredients in stages, it helps to ensure your batter is mixed well.
- Mix your wet ingredients together and wait to add your egg at the end, it helps to emulsify within the fat of the butter.
- Always add your chips and candy of any kinds by hand and hand stir it gently to ensure they aren’t crushed and your batter doesn’t become overmixed.
