A couple of nights ago I attempted to make sugar cookies, only, for whatever reason, they came out like Sugar Balls™. And if you follow me on Twitter, you probably saw me joking all about it.
Well, I’m happy to report they weren’t so balls-y {cough} as they were at first. But, to ensure they spread, I kept them in a little too long. So, uh, they were a wee bit harder crispier than I would’ve liked.
I learned my lesson, and tried again, this time chanting things like “room temperature butter” and “take ’em out early” to myself. Y’know, gearing myself up for cookie-making perfection.
And they were. Look!
Oh yeah, come to momma. Never mind my making you for the school parties.
Then I shifted focus to chocolate chip cookies. I won’t lie, these were beginning to scare me a bit.
However, I am happy to report they, too, came out just fine.
I’ve said it before, I don’t always suck at baking. Most of the time, anyway.
Oh goodness, me. The smells coming from my house right now should be illegal. If you don’t see me for a bit, it’s because I’m hip-deep in flour and sugar, and probably have gained ten pounds.
