Equipment Needed to Make Puff Pastry Jalapeño Appetizers
To make this easy Instant Pot dinner recipe, you will need the following kitchen tools:
- Baking sheet with either parchment paper or a silicone baking mat
- Paring knife
- Large bowl
- Electric mixer or stand mixer
- Small spoon or teaspoon
Ingredients Needed to Make Puff Pastry Jalapeño Appetizers
To make this Puff Pastry Jalapeño Appetizers recipe, you will also need the following ingredients gathered and ready:
- Frozen puff pastry sheets thawed**
- Cream cheese, softened
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh ground salt and pepper to taste
- Large jalapeño pepper
**Take note that the size indicated for the puff pastry sheet is one that’s about 9 x 12 inches in size

How to Make Puff Pastry Jalapeño Appetizers
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Line a baking sheet with either parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and place thawed puff pastry on top.
Using a paring knife, cut puff pastry into 16 squares, about 2×2 inches in size each. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whip cream cheese with an electric mixer (you can also use a stand mixer). By beating the cream cheese to make it softer, this will make it easier to work with for your recipe.
Add salt, pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese into bowl of cream cheese and fold to blend together.
Remove seeds from jalapeño pepper and dice into small pieces.
Add about 1½ teaspoons of the cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
Top it off with some of the diced jalapeños.
Take two opposite corners of each square and have them meet in the middle. Press down to seal.
Bake for 15-18 minutes. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 large jalapeño pepper
